Professional Colt & Stallion Castration
We offer castration of colts & stallions, carried out at your premises, preferably under general anaesthetic. In older or breeding animals, castration is performed using a closed procedure & to ensure complications are minimised; this is ideally performed under a general anaesthetic. Standing castration (using sedation and local anaesthetic) may be performed in certain circumstances or on request. A more complex surgery may need to be performed in cases of retained testicles (cryptorchid or “rig”).
